What is Mindfulness

Mindfulness meditation gives us a set of tool that allows us to pay attention to our thoughts and feelings.

By allowing ourselves to focus on the present moment with compassion and understanding, we can make non-judgmental observations about our current habits and tendencies that may be causing us harm.

Just like going to the gym strengthens our muscles, practising mindfulness sharpens our minds and gives us greater control over negative thoughts and emotions.

Benefits of taking this Mindfulness course online:

Increased Focus

Increase focus

By practising mindfulness, you train your mind to be able to bounce back from distraction. Each time you return your attention to your meditation, you strengthen your brains neural circuitry for focus.

Emotional Control

Emotional control

By allowing you to create a greater connection to your feelings, mindfulness will enable you to recognise with greater clarity when you have a negative reaction to something and allow you to disengage from those emotionally upsetting thoughts.

Increased Cognitive Flexibility

Increase in cognitive flexibility

By developing the skills of self-observation, you can disengage previously created automatic neural pathways and use present moment input to reinforce positive habits.

Better Relationships

Satisfaction in relationships

An increase in self-awareness will allow you to better navigate the emotional landscape of both yourself and those around you. By becoming a clearer witness to your own emotions you’ll be better equipped to soften your responses to those around you.

Boost Memory

Boost memory

Studies on mindfulness have shown that continued practice can increase the density of the hippocampus, the part of the brain that is directly connected to learning and memory. This change in brain structure allows for a more vivid and instant ability to recall and maintain memory.

About your teacher

Nadine

Nadine began practising mindfulness after battling with debilitating anxiety, panic attacks, physical pain, lack of sleep, and isolation.

Before she discovered the healing power of meditation she was skeptical about mindfulness. After going through the motions of life and trying to cope, years went by and she still couldn’t get through the day without feeling extreme anxiety.

Being worn out worn out and ready to try anything when she finally decided to try meditation…

Amazingly, she had her first good night of sleep with just a month of daily practice. And lots of other positive benefits were soon to follow.

Nadine believes that change is possible for everyone and has a deep commitment to empowering others to become the best version of themselves.

She approaches teaching with humour and passion and has created this accredited mindfulness course online to help meditation newbies get their first taste of the life-changing benefits of meditation.
