What is meditation?

Meditation is a technique that involves concentrating, relaxing and becoming ‘aware’ to help clear the mind and gain a sense of calm. It’s a skill that anyone can harness, and it’s actually a beautiful way to take some time out from the hectic world around you and focus on yourself.

There are many different types of meditation. Some will focus on different areas of life like sleep, relationships, gratitude, while others may use a certain technique like breathing, concentrating on a certain area of the body, or engaging with music.

What meditation means to our teachers

"I’ve attended Goenka’s 10 day retreats. This is a great refresher for Vipassana practice. Personally I prefer audio with guided instructions, and this was just what I was looking for."
